That code generally indicates a problem with the Air Mass Flow sensor, but I agree with @Makar Samarskiy that providing more details about your tractor can also help us give you better insights. Which one are you using, and did you notice any symptoms?

Anyway, try checking if you have a faulty sensor, a bad connection, or a damaged wire harness. If the connections look good, you might need to test the sensor's voltage to confirm it's not working correctly.

I've had this on my tc33d and it pointed to a problem with the fuel shut-off solenoid which was burned to a crisp. Replaced it and it was good to go. I think most of the codes on NH tractors are the same, but I can't say for sure.

it's actually pretty specific. F04 is mostly related to your fuel system. It's a code for a faulty fuel solenoid or a fuel solenoid circuit issue.
The solenoid is a small, electromagnetically controlled valve that shuts off the fuel supply to the engine when you turn the key off.
When it's not working right, the system throws that code. The problem could be the solenoid itself, or a wiring issue leading to it

The F04 is almost always an EGR system fault, with a clogged EGR valve being the most frequent culprit.
It's worth noting that issues with the air mass flow sensor can also trigger that code, and I've even seen it lead to symptoms that look like a fuel solenoid problem, so it can be a bit tricky to pinpoint without the right diagnostic tools.
What model and year is your machine? Did you notice any other symptoms like a loss of power or rough idling?
