My dad loves his 2018 New Holland Workmaster 25S a lot, but now it's having a sudden freakout. He was using it fine yesterday, and now the forward pedal is super soft and the tractor barely creeps forward. Reverse works perfectly.

We are seriously hoping this is an easy fix and not a nightmare hydrostatic issue. What gives? Has anyone else had the forward pedal totally fail while reverse is still strong?

You could be dealing with a linkage problem or some debris near the forward pedal, it's a good idea to check that out before you start troubleshooting hydrostatic issues.

Make sure to inspect the pedal return spring and look for any wear in the pivot bushings. If those are loose or damaged, it can lead to issues with forward engagement, although reverse will still work just fine

checking the external linkage is wise, but if it looks fine, then the problem is internal to the hydrostatic unit
