I have a nh tc33d and I've recently noticed that sometimes the temp gauge is not moving but other times it is going to the maximum right away. I'm thinking about the sensor being faulty but honestly i don't know and i don't know how to check. Does anyone have an idea on what the problem might be?

Either your temp guage's chilling at zero or freaking out like it's midJuly in the Sahara. Check the connections or swap the sensor to see if it sorts itself out. Let me know how it goes @RottenTomato1

I'm thinking it's either flaky wiring or the sensor's just shot. Maybe start by checking the ground and connector? After that you could try to swap the sensor if it's cheap. I'm for sure it isn't too rare on older blue tractors.

Thanks for the tips. As it turns out it was the gauge itself getting lazy in life or something. I replaced it and it's working like a dream.

While we're here, should I chance the sensor just in case or let it be for the time being?
