PTO & Hydraulics won’t engage simultaneously need diagnostic tips

Running into an issue where PTO and hydraulics won’t activate together. Could this be electrical, valve-related, or a load-sensing conflict? Anyone seen this before?

Sounds like the load-sensing or priority valve might be acting up. I’ve seen that before when there's too much flow demand for the system to handle. It could also be an electrical interlock preventing things from activating at the same time. Might be worth taking a look at both of those things.

first thing to check is the seat switch and clutch pedal switch. New Hollands are notorious for those little safety interlocks glitching out and killing the PTO clutch, which is powered by the hydraulics
also, don't overlook the basics. Is your hydraulic filter clogged? If the system can't pull enough oil, trying to run two big consumers (PTO and lift) at once will make one fail. Change the filter, then check the fluid level

Great points mentioned. I'd like to add a couple of things: take a look at the system pressure at the remotes while the PTO is active, if you see a big drop in pressure, that might indicate a flow starvation problem. Also, it's a good idea to check the solenoid voltages while everything’s running, if there's inconsistent power to the PTO clutch circuit, it might suggest a failing relay or a corroded connector.
