Hello, I'm new to the forum. I'm having problem with l190 skid steer. When I release park brake light goes outand will move about 2 foot sometimes longer but then starts popping loud on right side. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

That's almost always a sign that a drive chain has either broken or jumped a sprocket.
The popping is probably the chain links hitting the inside of the chain case.
It's not a fun job, but what you can do is get the machine up on stands, drain the chain case oil, and pull the wheels and hubs to get a look inside.
Hope it's just a slipped chain for you so it's more manageable!

I also suspect a bad drive chain or a broken bearing in the final drive hub, like what @thathollanderguy said. What you described is a common issue in that drive system after these machines have put in a lot of hours.

I'd recommend taking a close look at the chain tension and inspecting the bearings in the hub. It's a good idea to drain the fluid and check for any metal shavings, which would confirm a breakdown in there. If you see chunks of metal, you've likely got a blown bearing. In that case, you'll need to open the drive hub to inspect and replace the bearing and possibly the chain if it's been damaged.

Sounds like the right drive motor's busted inside. It kicks on for a sec, then starts popping, which probably means it runs until it hits some components.

Yeah, that loud popping and sudden loss of drive sound like a broken or slipped chain in the chain case.
Before you start tearing into it, drain the oil and grab a powerful magnet on a stick.
you might be able to fish out any broken pieces of chain or roller pins. that'll confirm the break and give you an idea of the damage before you fully commit to the repair

Hey, also give the axle shaft splines and hub couplers a look. If they're worn out or stripped, they might cause engagement issues and loud noises when there's a load. Before thinking it's the internal chain, check for any looseness or if things are out of line.
