I'm dealing with a 2098 code related to the dump valve. Ive already replaced the coil, but the problem still shows up. It's fine when the system's cool, but once it heats up, the code triggers and clears itself after a few minutes. The dealer thinks its an electrical issue, but I'm not entirely convinced. Theres also a drop in hydraulic pressure and flow as it gets hot. The dealer changed the fluid and filters last year, and everything checked out, but the issue keeps coming back. Has anyone experienced something similar or have any ideas on what could be causing this?

Since the issue pops up with heat and coincides with a pressure / flow drop, it makes me think it's an internal issue with the dump valve that can be heat-senstive?
Might be worth looking into!
Yeah. I'm thinking of this too. It could be the heat might be messing with a weak connection or sensor. If OP were me, I would trace the wiring to that dump valve real close. Really overthinking this whole thing after all that Final Destination buzz since it's just been released. LOL.

t sounds like the issue could be heat related wiring or a component that breaks down under temperature. Even if the coil is new the harness, plug or nearby bracket contact points can still cause trouble once the system warms up.

Have you tried checking the resistance when the machine is still hot?

Just gently move the wiring to see if readings change. This can sometimes reveal a problem that looks fine when cold.
