I just had to share this little victory. I used to spend a whole hour every morning chasing the chickens back into their coop after they’d decided to roam around. Finally I caved and bought one of those solar-powered automatic door openers. Honestly, it’s the best $150 I’ve ever spent! They waltz in at dusk, the door shuts behind them, and I get to enjoy some extra sleep.

So, what’s the one piece of farm tech or gadget you’ve recently added that you can’t imagine living without?

I felt like I hit the jackpot when I got a little auto-waterer for the goats. Seriously, no more lugging water buckets every day! It's been a total blessing, especially when it's hot out.

I put up a cheap trail cam by the barn. Thought it'd be funny, but now I see all sorts of animals sneaking around at night. Helps me keep tabs on what's happening.
