As you brave the chilly weather, you're busy wrapping up those garage projects before the holiday hustle kicks in checking fluids, tightening bolts, and maybe even swapping out parts to ensure you won’t be left in a bind.

What’s on your winter to-do list this year?

I'll never forget the holiday when a loose bolt put my tractor out of action right in the middle of things. Now, I always tighten stuff up and grease everything first. This year, I'm even changing filters ahead of time.

A long time ago, my starter died in the cold, and I got stuck out in it.. I learned my lesson and prep better now. I make sure to check the wires, rotate the tires, fill up the hydraulic fluid, and have spare parts ready. I also clean out the garage so I'm not running myself ragged when the holidays get here.
