Looking for a quick fix for those stubborn connectors?

I spent a good part of the morning wrestling with some grimy connectors on the New Holland, and they just wouldn’t budge.

What’s your go-to trick for cleaning those tricky connectors without losing your mind or breaking anything? Let’s share tips and stories

Had one give me trouble during a chilly morning service. I warmed it up a bit, sprayed some cleaner, and gently worked it back and forth until it came loose. Slow and steady is the way to go, especially since plastic connectors can get fragile over time

I typically use electrical contact cleaner, some compressed air and a small pick to help get rid of dirt. If it doesn’t budge easily I just back off to avoid breaking something expensive

Been in that situation more times than I care to admit.
Last spring I wrestled with a pesky NH connector and I found that a bit of contact cleaner a soft brush,
and some patience did the trick better than trying to force it. Stepping away for a few minutes helped too.

A brass wire brush works great on tough corrosion but won't hurt the pins. If you're in a tight spot, grab a toothbrush and some dielectric grease after cleaning to stop it from coming back. Before scrubbing, blow out any junk with compressed air.
