Loader control spool mapping

I've been tinkering with my loader lately and noticed that getting low-range precision feels more like a game of chance than smooth control.

How do you all set up your spools to achieve that silky fine control while still keeping responsiveness?

Struggled with my loader for months, one moment it was jerky, and the next completely unresponsive. By slowing down the flow and tweaking the linkage, I made a significant improvement. It turns out that having a lighter touch is what’s needed, not just brute force.

After making too many wild adjustments, I decided to ease up on the flow restrictor and re-centered the spool.
The difference was remarkable.
It’s still very responsive, but now I can control the bucket’s movement more precisely instead of just hoping for the best.

Learned the hard way while working on a gravel job that the factory settings aren't set in stone. I adjusted the spool detents and slightly lowered the hydraulic flow. I didn’t lose any speed but gained a lot more control, and my hands really appreciated it.
