I've been rocking green (JD) equipment my whole life, but I found a sweet deal on a New Holland Workmaster 120 for about 40K that I'm seriously tempted by.
I love the features, but all the horror stories from neighbors & friends have me sweating.

NH owners, what's your honest experience with these tractors? is it a good or bad idea to buy the it? tell me everything!

Make sure to check the hydraulic flow numbers and how fast the loader cycles. Some Workmaster 120s can be a bit slow when they're carrying something heavy. Also, it's a good idea to see how good the dealer is at helping customers and if they have parts when you need them. That's usually what causes the most problems.

Welcome to the blue side of the fence! That's a great price on a Workmaster 120. I must say the biggest shock won't be reliability as much as the dealer experience. Workmasters are solid, no-frills workhorses, and the FPT engine is tough. The horror stories are usually just unrealistic expectations or more commonly, poor local New Holland dealer support. But before you sign, you must check the local dealer's parts stock and service reputation. The tractor is great value, but I think it's the dealer that makes or breaks the switch. If they're solid, go for it. If they're known to be slow, I'd also say that $40k could turn into a headache.
