Keeping tractor blades safe from winter ice

You might find yourself out in the chilly air, ready to work, but that ice can really do a number on your blades and edges. Some people are all about using covers, while others prefer special coatings or clever storage techniques.

What’s your favorite way to shield your tractor blades from ice damage during those cold months?

Messed up once and left my blade out in the snow. The ice just ate it! Now, I always make sure to cover it up good before a storm hits.

Tried this cheap spray thing once, but it didn't last. Now I just keep the blade in the shed. Stays sharp all winter that way.

Used to leave my blade outside with just a tarp, back when I lived in Nevada. Big mistake! The ice messed it up bad, and I had to spend forever getting it smooth again. Now I use a real cover and some oil before putting it away. Works great all winter.
