I don’t have mine ready yet, but I keep remembering the times when I was younger and would sneak into the kitchen just to catch a glimpse of the spread before anyone else sat down. Half the fun was in seeing how everyone’s plate looked some piled high some neat and fancy and some just a glorious mess. So let’s see those plates whether they’re simple, loaded, fancy, or messy… we want to see it all!

Oh, that brings back some fond memories! I used to sneak into the kitchen as well just to get a look at all the food before anyone else arrived. It was always so much fun to see the variety of plates some were super organized others were stacked high and there was always that one plate that was a bit of a disaster.

I’ll always remember the year my aunt decided to get all fancy with her presentation and placed a tiny little herb sprig on my plate. I was only eight at the time, and I thought it was the most sophisticated thing ever! Nowadays, my plate is usually a glorious, gravy-covered mess, piled high with mashed potatoes.
