Go-to tools for CAN bus diagnostics on New Holland

Recently, I was trying to solve a tricky signal issue on my New Holland and thought my regular setup could use an upgrade.
What tools do you rely on for checking CAN bus, logging data, and making quick repairs?

For quick checks, I always have a budget-friendly CAN reader and a multimeter stashed in the truck. I once chased down a pesky ghost fault that turned out to be just a wire that had rubbed against something. Nothing too fancy just reliable tools that give you a quick yes or no.

When I’m in the field, I rely on my laptop with CNH software when I can, but it’s usually just a breakout harness, a test light, and a whole lot of patience. CAN issues have a knack for hiding until you start wiggling connectors and see the data drop out

I also use a handheld CAN analyzer to keep an eye on bus health,
and I pull out a scope when things get a bit strange.
If you can see the signal, you can stop guessing.
