DEF regen got you scratching your head?

I recently picked up a New Holland, and that DEF regen light keeps coming on.
I'm still trying to understand what causes it and how to reset it without any hassle.

Who has some easy tricks to share?

That warning light sure loves to make a scene.
I found that letting it complete a full regeneration cycle while it's running helps a lot.
Don't cut it off early, it seems like these half cycles only make it come back quicker.

If the front end is still pulling strong, I’d recommend scanning for codes and then running a manual regen.
Most of the time, it’s just needing some heat and time, not something actually broken.

I tried resetting mine once, but it came back until I addressed the real issue.
It turned out to be a dirty DPF sensor and low exhaust temps from treating the machine too gently.

Mine was on a constant loop until I checked the sensors and cleaned out the DEF nozzle. Once the airflow was good again, the light finally stopped bugging me like a persistent alarm clock.

The best advice I picked up? Don’t leave it idling forever. Get it warmed up, put it to work, and let that regen finish.
Taking it on short trips just confuses the system and keeps triggering the warning light.
