You’ve probably noticed this before, one field is sandy and loose, while the next is a tough, heavy clay that fights you at every turn. When switching between soil types, those attachment settings can really make a difference in how smoothly the job goes. How do you adjust your tillage or planting attachments to match the soil you’re working with?

We’d love to hear your favorite tweaks and tips

When I hauled stuff across different fields, I found sandy ground lets you move fast, but clay takes patience. Slowing down and going deeper kept my tools steady, saving me from constant screw-ups.

One year, I worked a field that changed from sand to clay super fast. I went deeper and added some weight when I hit the clay. This kept things moving and planting smooth, even with the ground always changing.
