Considering getting a tractor for field work and some light hauling, but I’m on the fence about whether 4WD is worth the extra expense. For those of you who have experience with both options, how much of a difference did you see?

4WD provides improved traction for tackling slopes, muddy terrains, and heavy loads. However if you’re mostly working on flat ground and doing light hauling, 2WD typically gets the job done just fine and is usually more affordable.

You are only buying a tractor once not every year. 4WD is your best choice as you have a choice between using 2WD or 4WD. Should you ever get stuck or going up steep hills 4WD can help you instead of asking someone for help. 4WD you get better traction if needed. What model and brand tractor are you considering. 4WD may help you out of a bind. You are only buying a tractor once, make it count.

Definitely. Buying a tractor is no small feat and going for 4WD gives you that extra versatility, better grip, and peace of mind when facing challenging landscapes. Selecting the right model and brand for the long run really pays off.
