Longest tractor shift you’ve ever worked?

Have you ever had one of those marathon days behind the wheel, where the sun barely peeks over the horizon and you’re still at it long after it sets? What’s the longest shift you’ve ever pulled on a tractor? How did you manage to keep your energy up?

Once, I tackled a 12-hour shift in a field with some really stubborn crops. The key was having a solid playlist, keeping my snacks close, and taking it easy on myself. I was worn out by the end, but it felt like I really earned my keep

I remember one time I had a 14-hour shift, just grinding it out day and night.
Kept my energy up by pacing myself, drinking plenty of water, and jamming to some great music.
It’s tough work, but it gets done.

believe it or not, my record is 19 hours straight (did this once). the key isn't just caffeine, it’s snacks for me. I keep a cooler stocked with jerky, apples, and way more water than I think I'll need.
If you just eat junk food, you’ll crash by sunset haha

That’s quite the marathon 19 hours non-stop. I really like the advice about keeping snacks and water handy, it’s incredible how the right fuel helps you stay focused while you’re out there

My longest was when we were bailing last year. we did a total of 19hrs and what i really think keeps the energy up is having a buddy to talk with on the phone.

Having someone to converse with really helps make those long stretches much more enjoyable.
