Topping off hydraulic oil what’s your schedule?

I’m checking my rig and wondering if it’s time for a hydraulic oil top-off or if I can get a few more hours out of it. How often do you all top up your systems? I’d love to hear your schedules and any tricks you have for the crew

Learned to check the fluid levels before every big job to be on the safe side. I fill up every 50 hours, but it’s those daily checks that really keep everything running smoothly. A bit of prevention pays off

I usually fill up every 50 hours just to be cautious, but I keep an eye on the levels throughout the day. If it’s low, I’ll quickly top it off to avoid any surprises!

I like to check it after each major shift and fill up every 100 hours.
It’s one of those ‘better safe than sorry’ situations.
A quick top-off now can save me from a bigger issue down the line

yeah, we also filling it up every 50hr. but I always tell my crew that if the pump starts whining or the cylinders feel spongy, stop immediately
air in the lines from a low reservoir is the fastest way to kill an expensive pump

Keeping an ear out for that pump whine and checking for spongy cylinders is super important. Keeping an eye on the oil levels can help you avoid bigger problems and protect those pricey parts
