New Holland 3-point hitch won’t lift under load first checks?

If you're finding that your New Holland’s 3-point hitch is having a tough time with heavier loads, the first thing to do is check the hydraulic pressure, relief valve settings, and the condition of the fluid. It might be due to a weak pump, worn seals in the lift cylinder, or possibly a malfunctioning position control sensor. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Yep, I’ve seen that on a few NH tractors, it’s just worn lift cylinder seals or a relief valve set a bit too low

Be sure to take a look at the draft control lever and linkage too. If it's not properly adjusted or is binding up, it can restrict the lift range when you're under load, even if the hydraulics are working well.
