I've got a TC33D with a 14LA loader, and one of the bucket tilt cylinders is leaking hydraulic fluid. Tracking down a proper seal kit has been tough. Rod measures 1.125, bore 1.75. And my local dealer wants a fortune, does anyone know a better source?

I think its best to skip the dealer and take your cylinder measurements (1.125 rod, 1.75 bore) to a local hydraulic repair shop, they can usually match or rebuild seals at a much lower cost. You could also try suppliers like Baum Hydraulics, Surplus Center or Hercules Sealing Products, which often stock seal kits for common loader cylinders.

I agree with goerge, for a common cylinder size like that (1.125" rod, 1.75" bore) you shouldn't go to the dealer. try to look at third party hydraulic supply houses online. They specialize in generic seals.

Hey, also take a look at the rod to see if there are any scratches. Check the gland for wear too, new seal kits won't do much good if the parts are broken. Make sure you know the thread type and seal groove details before you order anything.

interesting post. I just this morning ordered 2 tilt cyl. from Westendorf to fit this TA111 loader. I ordered lift cyls. to replace the tilt cyls which are identical to the tilt cyl. except the ram is 1/38" as opposed to the 1" in the tilt cyl. The stroke is 21" in both cyls. which is not to be had aftermarket. The price will almost make you bleed $838 ea.

Nice job on matching the stroke length, it's not easy to find aftermarket parts that meet that spec. I'm excited to see how they fit. Appreciate the pic.

Could not find aftermarket in 21"stroke. I'm sure the manufacturer planned it that way. These are identical to the lift cylinders. Fit perfect. when I unboxed the cyl. I thought the ram had been painted black also, but find the whole ram has this gun metal like coating. I have never seen a cyl. ram that didn't have the chrome finish. Anyone else?

Interesting! I’ve yet to see a gunmetal finish on a ram. Can’t help but wonder if that’s a choice for durability or just a way to cut costs.
