You know that moment when you’re baling and your New Holland suddenly feels like it hit a wall? Often it’s fuel flow, air blockages, sensors, or electrical glitches. What quick field checks do you use to get the power back fast?

The first thing I do is check the air filter. It’s crazy how quickly it gets clogged when you’re baling in the dust. Just pull it out, give it a tap to clean it and often you’ll get back to full power in just a couple of minutes.

The fuel filter always gets me. When I change it out, it’s like magic problem solved. I keep spares in the toolbox now because losing power in the middle of the field during hay season is the worst.

I always start by checking for error codes on the display; that really cuts out the guesswork.
After that, I check the fuel pressure and make sure nothing’s kinked or blocked.
This usually reveals the issue quickly without having to mess with parts you don’t need to.
